The bad news is that I don’t have a picture of my dress. Boo! I know! Totally lame. Especially after all you’ve been through to this point, bearing with my whining about not being able to make a choice and then voting (thank you all so, so much for your votes!).
I’m dying to show you my final pick, believe me. I’m so relieved to have finally made a decision. But with all of the chaos at Kleinfeld for Say Yes to the Dress, a picture was the furthest thing from my mind!
I may try to find a sample locally, try it on again, and take a few pictures for the hive, but if not, my hope is that you’ll see it on TV! What better reveal is there than that?
The good news is that before picking my dress, my favorites were the same as yours! I was still considering three (numbers 5, 9, & 11) standing in Kleinfeld, but the more I thought about each one, the happier I was I didn’t settle with any of them.

Here goes nothing!
My true feelings about the top contenders…
Dress 5
I could have worn this dress to my wedding without qualms. It was truly much of what I imagined my wedding gown would encompass: the taffeta, the modified A-line silhouette, and little bit of bling along the sweetheart neckline. Definitely a winner. Like many of you, I think this dress would have been a nice fit for a Sunday afternoon, outdoor wedding. It was light and airy, and flattering. I’m so glad that so many of you liked it.
What I wasn’t crazy about was the train, which you can’t see pictured here, but it wasn’t what I had in mind.
While this dress remains my favorite of ALL those I tried, it lacked a little something and definitely doesn’t beat out the one I did ultimately pick.

Dress 9
Each and everyone of you read right through my snippet about this dress. MY DRESS, I said and rightfully so as I have lusted after it for more than a year. Imagining my wedding day, I always imagined this dress, because it was feminine and flowy; it was sexy and sleek; it represented a beautiful mature me!
When I tried it on for the first time (in the picture below), it definitely didn’t disappoint. Whereas I thought my back might be too thick or my arms might be too big or the front might be to low cut, none of it was the case. It looked fabulous and I felt fabulous in it.
The only piece missing, which was for me a really big piece, was it feeling like a wedding gown. It was almost too flowy. It was too much like an evening gown, something casual, than it was (for me) the perfect dress for our wedding. I would have felt under-dressed.
I don’t think it was at all what Mr. B had in mind for me, either. We watched the show Four Weddings the other night and one of the brides had a T-back dress. He said, “Oh no she didn’t!” Mind you, hers was much more low cut in the front, but still. It wasn’t traditional enough for either of our tastes.
There’s no doubt, though, that I still love it…

Dress 11
To be 100 percent honest, I was getting ready to purchase dress 11 when I posted the vote. It was my pick. It was the last dress I had found (at Rosalin’s Bridal) and seriously hugged the sales lady, yelling out, “this is it!”
I told you I was the girl who cried dress…
It was between the two dresses above and the Maggie Sottero Rachelle (dress 10), when I tried on this dress. My mom and I were shocked, because we weren’t expecting to find something ELSE to add to our list of favorites, but we couldn’t get over the way the dress hugged my waist. I loved my figure!
In hindsight, I’m so glad I didn’t buy this dress! It’s too much! There’s beading and bling everywhere! The other thing I thought of when I decided against this dress was how hot I would be! I only had the dress on for about 10 or 15 minutes in the dressing room, and I was sweating! Mama Brooch swears the dressing room was just small, but the last thing I want is to be uncomfortable and hot in a dress I’m wearing all day and night.
Nevertheless, it’s a beautiful gown. I think it’s still my mom’s favorite, but I just think it was too much for me. It’s still pretty, though! They all are!

So there you have it: how I talked myself out of my favorite three wedding dresses! What else is new, right? Now there’s NO TURNING BACK with the gown I DID purchase! The reveal is coming soon.
I hope you all like it as much as you loved these guys! Thank you again for your votes!
Did you talk yourself out of any dress favorites?
