I mentioned yesterday that I thought I had found my dress shortly after getting engaged, but I wanted to wait a little longer to order it and wanted to show it to Mama Hippo before signing on the dotted line. So when Mama Hippo and I met up in Dallas last summer, my plan was to show her the dress quickly, have her give a big thumbs up to it, and check that off the to-do list. We headed to the bridal shop and my girlfriend who works at the shop said she wanted me to try on a couple of new dresses that had come in since my last visit. There were a couple of gowns that she thought I might be interested in, and a couple that were new arrivals that she hadn’t yet seen on a bride, so she was using me as a guinea pig.

I tried on a few dresses, and then…

I found it.

And I loved it almost instantly. In fact, when I put on the dress I thought I was going to buy, it made me love this one even more. Wanna see what I ended up with?

I love it! I loved it when I first found it this summer with Mama Hippo, and when I tried the sample on again earlier this month, I loved it even more. And seeing these pictures (don’t I look so happy?!), I still am completely and utterly in love with the dress. I can’t wait to get my actual dress in and fitted. And I can’t wait to wear it. And I can’t wait for King Hippo to see me in it! Yay dress!
