After the tea ceremony, my family served lunch. It served as the first family meal! We served Mr Hot Wings’ favorite, easy-to-eat Vietnamese foods: Banh Mi sandwiches and Vietnamese spring rolls. To drink we had soda, water, and Vietnamese coffee (YUM!).

For dessert, we offered “wedding” fortune cookies and homemade Vietnamese gelatin desserts.
After lunch, guests hung around to catch up, took more photos, and just relaxed.

Our videography team, OmniStories, stole us away for a couple moments to shoot some artistic photos. It felt awkward, but it did give us our first moment alone in the day.
Some people had more on their minds and did more thinking then mingling. Here, Papa Hot Wings was sitting aside and watching the festivities. Papa Hot Wings has always been the reflective type. I would like to think that he was taking in his only daughter’s wedding day. I would soon give him his only walk down the aisle moment.

Then it was time to move on to the next events of the day. The Hottie Women gathered in the bridal suite to start the process of transforming me from my tea ceremony look to my civil ceremony look.
*All photos by the ever fab Hanssie Trainor unless noted otherwise.*
Do you need to catch up with the hotness?
