When we got back to Momma and Dad Socks’ house, we found THIS waiting for us:

Ahhh! BM Jess’ sister is a professional cake baker and she and Jess put this together for us! Jess saw my crush on this cake from this post months before, and filed it away in her “how to be an awesome bridesmaid” file. We were blown. away. by this cake.

We also saw lots of other little goodies waiting for us:

Can you BELIEVE our faces were put on custom M&M’s?? I didn’t even know such a thing was possible! The M&M’s were very fitting though, since a few of our friends do refer to us as M&M for our initials.

Of course, there was plenty of wine, and I drank up immediately!

Mr. Socks: ”Whoa there, Mrs. Socks…slow down!”

Mrs. Socks: ”Wooohoo, let’s get this party started!”

And so, to start the party, BM Jess gave us a little gift to get us excited for the day:

And then we mingled and ate some delicious food that everyone chipped in and brought along! Isn’t everyone so wonderful for making it a big, delicious potluck?

Yeah, Momma and Dad Socks’ house is seriously cool. I love this shot from the loft!
