The very same week I received my acceptance email to become a bee, I also received another positive email too: one from an Etsy vendor I had been working with for the past few weeks. What was I waiting for? Well, this is where I need to make a quick public service announcement:

Right, so where were we? Ah, my mysterious Etsy email. I’d been emailing the seller for the past few months after seeing her artwork on numerous occasions around the interwebs and I knew that I wanted her to create a custom piece for me. The reason I’ve banned Mr. Jaguar from reading on is because I’m likely going to be presenting him with the image framed as part of his Christmas gift, but the goal is to use it at the wedding itself too—probably on our guestbook table, unless we think of another creative purpose for it.

Without further ado, here is our portrait, designed by Nan Lawson, of Etsy fame.

Oh my, she got us perfectly - and even Oscar cat made it into the shot.

She has dozens of brilliant pieces for sale but also does customs, so be sure to email her if you’re interested in your own little piece of greatness, and I’m sure she’ll put you on her wait-list! I can’t wait to give this to Mr. Jaguar as a present, but I have to say, it’s been hard keeping this on the down-low! As soon as I had it in my hot little hands, I wanted to show him—and then everyone else—but I’m learning to be better at keeping things under wraps.

And if you’re wondering if you’ve seen her work before around the hive, you’re right! Funnily enough, the awesome Miss Sloth recently shared her own custom portrait—high five to the good taste, girlfriend.
