Early on in my planning, I had determined that somehow, some way, we would have a photo booth at our wedding. Whether we made room in our budget to rent one, or if we made it ourselves and appointed someone to man it with my MacBook, this was something that I really wanted. Mr. FF was slightly more reserved about the idea, however. (I’m sure it had something to do with rental fees…although at the time he claimed that it was an “unnecessary expense.” Hrmph.)
Fortuitiously, when we went to our venue’s food tasting they had a photo booth set up. Mr. FF & I jumped in for a sample pic and we had a blast. After a little bit of discussion and some budget negotiations, Mr. FF was also on board with the photo booth idea, although I think that he still wasn’t sure what the big deal was.
Well…let’s just say that if you had asked him the day after the wedding what “unnecessary expense” he was glad we splurged on, it would be the photo booth. Since we opted to use our photo booth as our guest book, we chose a package that gave each booth attendee a copy of the photo strip while reserving one to be mounted in a guest book along with a signature and well-wishes from our guests. It. Was. Awesome.
We rented our booth from 7 PM to 10 PM, which we figured would be ample time for people to get some great shots. We didn’t include any props for people to use, but it turns out that they didn’t need them — as you’ll see, they got quite creative. Mr. FF & I started things off:

But soon, others got in on the fun. You’ll notice that as the night goes on (and the alcohol starts to flow a bit more freely) things got a little crazy — everyone had a blast.

I could write captions to the pictures, but I think they speak for themselves.
So many of our guests said that they had never been to a wedding with a photobooth before — and that they thought it was so unique. It just proves that while something might seem “played out” in wedding blog land, chances are your guests aren’t surfing 50+ wedding blogs a day — ideas that might seem too overdone to you will most likely be completely new to them! If you love the idea, do it. You won’t regret it!
Miss a chapter?
First, we drove all of our stuff to our venue.
Then, I freaked about the weather forecast.
Next, we rehearsed.
We had a yummy rehearsal dinner!
The girls got glam.
We both got dressed and ready to rock and roll.
Mr. FF watched me walk down the aisle.
We got married!!!
We beat the storm for our bridal party pictures.
We grabbed umbrellas and got lovey-dovey.
I kept it real.
We got a peek at our reception, and made our entrance Miyagi-style.
We ate cake!
We toasted, and hugging was involved.
We caught dinner and a show.
We danced!
