I’m not really sure when, historically, weddings became one- or two-color events. I think it’s safe to say that most are, though, since a lot of people have asked me, “What are your wedding colors?”
This is the answer that they get: black, white, silver, gold, muted pink, slate blue, and possibly some spring green and soft yellow.

I gave myself a huge palette because I want to be able to buy what I like.
I’m trying to avoid a “motif” as well. As proven by this post, I’m all over the place. How could I ever choose between my favorite decor elements: birds, trees, flowers, vases, little white lights, candlesticks, and so on, forever? Basically, I’m just doing whatever the crap I want and hoping there is cohesiveness and continuity. It’s where Murphy’s Law meets Crayola, and I’m not looking back now!
For now, here is my first take at compiling the color/feel I like:

These aren’t literal items I am seeking out for my wedding, but I tried to capture the overall feel. So far, I’m liking it. What do you think? Are you broadening your color horizons?
