After our first dance, dinner was served buffet style. I can’t say it was the most amazing meal—I can hardly say anything about it, actually, because I hardly ate!
But the cake. The cake was fantastic.
It was vanilla creme with almond filling and a cream cheese frosting. Ridiculous.
Once it looked like dinner was winding down, we decided to cut the cake.
My mom bought the cake cutting set for us. I had no idea what I was doing.
Eventually I managed to chisel out a few crumbs with frosting on them. Really. I failed at this.
Thankfully, we were given human-sized portions of cake at our table so I could properly enjoy it, instead of the Fieval-sized piece I had for the cake-cutting. Phew.
