The Bold & the Beautiful

November 24th, 2010 @ 9:13 am by Ms Cheetah

My wedding dress should be in next month (woohoo!), so guess what time it is? It’s accessory time!

In day-to-day life, I tend to like my accessories like I like my tea: delicate and sweet, or big and bold. So which way should I lean for my wedding look?

Cheetahhhh, those are some amazing accessories! My faves are the Vivian Westwood heels and the bold veil! I have trouble being bold in my own fashion world so I think I live vicariously through others :)

The cape is a bit crazy but it does catch the eye.

Not sure anyone I know could pull it off!

I think your best bet is to find 1 or 2 bold pieces that just make your heart melt and the rest go for delicate pieces that compliment but don’t overwhelm you or your dress. My top picks go bold for shows and head piece/veil you can always switch out you headpiece between ceremony/reception. bold necklace and simple or no earring or vice versa. Purse go bold you won’t really be carrying since you’ll have your bouquet. I think your dress will determine the style of shoulder covering if any. I love some of the pieces you picked many of them will def be wearable after the wedding regardless - Rehearsal dinner or honeymoon

I’m more of a delicate person myself, but I love the look of bold on others! Can’t wait to see what you end up with.

I love all the delicate stuff. Love the way you showed the differences though. ;)

With the exception of the veil and necklace, I like the delicate pieces. You’ll need a balance between them for one or two focal points. If you wear all of the bold pieces, you may look like Lady Gaga (costumey).

Love those accessories! I like to mix delicate and bold, but if Im really honest with myself I tend to lean more to the delicate side. I am always so envious of girls who can pull off bold looks though.

I did a mix. I wore a simple birdcage veil with a bold, stoned hair accessory (that I kept in my hair for the reception). I wore delicate earrings (so as not to compete with the hair accessory) and no necklace. My bracelet was very bold (very wide vintage rhinestone bracelet) and my shoes were ivory, but I blinged them out.

I also tend to wear very delicate pieces, and I love the looks you’ve pulled!

Loving the “bold” style especially! But I definitely think you can mix some delicate in there. That Sara Gabriel veil is effing ridic! Love it!

My wedding accessories were bold because my dress was reserved. Love those VW shoes!
