I love to sing and dance, despite the fact that I lack any talent doing either. I somehow manage to be messy and organized at the same time. I like to spend my days road tripping, watching '80s movies, reading true crime books, buying things on sale, sending postcards, playing board games, dining at food trucks, snuggling, and drinking ginger ale. I have a weak spot for all things sweet, especially Mr. Cheetah! I’m a Chicago girl and he’s a Nor Cal boy but we love living in the City of Angels. After 10 years as a couple we are planning a fun-filled semi-destination wedding in Palm Springs. Hope you enjoy the ride!

Even More Invitation Inspiration!

December 3rd, 2010 @ 7:22 pm by Ms Cheetah

Yup, it’s another post about invitations! And I can’t promise it will be the last. What can I say, I have invitations on the brain. Today I’m loving the idea of shaped invitations. Rectangles and squares can be awesome, but I’m digging the unexpected wow factor of some uncommon invitation shapes.

I heart this heart-shaped invite.

A circle is such a classic shape, yet it’s rare to see in wedding invitations:

I love how this is almost a standard rectangle, but with a twistor rather, with a curve.

The scroll design is echoed in the shaping of this gorgeous invitation.

What do you think of unusually shaped wedding invitations?

Wow… that last one is so cool! :)

As per what Miss Ostrich said.. That’d be cool! ;) Kind of like a vintage CD and cover invitation.

I like when things are unique, and any of these bring a nice touch to any wedding.

I love that heart shaped one, and the scroll shaped invites as well. I think ours are just gonna be boring rectangle though…but maybe we can include at least on fun shape in there!

The last three are wonderful :D I whole heartedly love the use of vibrant colour in cards, and a twist of some kind. The scroll work and cut out ones are details I just adore. Very nice choices!

Ahhh, our similar stationery taste strikes again! I have a whole folder of die-cut wedding invitations, and the 4th and 5th sets you posted were two of my folder favorites. I was totally set on cutting my own fun-shaped invitations with my Cricut — until I did all the cutting for our Save the Dates. Yikes. Anyway, have you been to Ceci New York’s site? She did the fourth ones you posted, and her other couture invitations are INSANE: http://www.cecinewyork.com/wedding/couture.php

I love unusual wedding invites! I get so bored with the more traditional ones.
