I have a weak spot for all things sweet, especially Mr. Cheetah! I’m a Chicago girl and he’s a Nor Cal boy but we love living in the City of Angels. Lemon Drops

When your color palette gives you lemon yellow, make lemon decor!

Lemon yellow is one of our colors, and using actual lemons might be the perfect way to get that yellow pop of color.

While I like to pretend I’m some sort of wedding-planning wunderkind, I’m obviously not the first person to think of using citrus as decor. Yet I’m glad this has been done before because now there are gorgeous inspiration images to drool over!

And my favorite, lemons in tasty and adorable alcoholic beverages:

We are going to have a signature cocktail (or two!) at our reception, and I want one to be lemon flavored and topped with an adorable lemon garnish. I’m thinking Lemon Drops, but that’s largely because it’s the only lemon cocktail that I’m familiar with (lemon, sugar, and vodkayes, please!).

Do you know of any other yummy lemon-cocktail recipes?

I love lemons! :) I think lemon drops are the only lemon cocktail I’m familiar with, too, though.

I just bookmarked the lemons-as-aisle-decor page, I love that so much!
My advice: Get “The Ultimate A-Z Bar Guide” by Herbst and Herbst. Seriously, it’s a great bartending book, totally intuitive to use.
Look up “Lemon” in the index of main non-alcoholic ingredients. There are at least 40 different recipes.
There’s even one called the Honeybee, and one called the Honeymoon!

I’ve also seen lemons (and limes) used as vase fillers. I think it’s such a cool look

We also had a lemon theme running through our wedding… we did limoncello martinis are our signature drink with floating blueberries (blue wasn’t a color in our wedding, but it popped so nicely!). We also gave tiny bottles of homemade limoncello as favors and they doubled as escort cards!
