Mad Props

December 6th, 2010 @ 5:57 pm by Ms. Sloth

For months and months, I was looking forward to November first.

It was the day after Halloween. The day when all of the Halloween stores slash their prices so that they can shut down.

It was the day that I could head out to Halloween Adventure to purchase a whole lot of props for our fauxto booth. For a steal!

Boas and sunglasses and hats, oh my!

The people at the store looked at me like I was crazy, so I explained the fauxto booth idea to them. They acted like it was the most unique thing they’d ever heard of. They obviously don’t read wedding blogs.

Of course, when I got home, I had to have a little photo shoot.

I’m too sexy for my pink fuzzy hat.

Of course, this isn’t all of it. There will be mustaches. But this is a start.

Did you find any wedding-related bargains from surprising sources?

Awesome! Nice cheap-o source there, too. I like the Liza Minnelli silver-glitter hat.

You can find some really good stuff in the Dollar Tree anytime of the year.

The props at the fauxto booth were one of the funniest parts of the wedding (and the mustaches that got made at the last minute my my MOH’s boyfriend who was hanging with us before the rehearsal dinner with nothing to do were so popular!) I especially enjoyed watching the various props migrate onto the dance floor as the night wore on.
Love the hat.

What a great idea, I’ll have to keep it in mind for our wedding next year! Love the pink fuzzy hat!
