Rehearsal Eats

December 6th, 2010 @ 3:23 pm by Mrs. Elephant

I’m really looking forward to kicking off the wedding weekend with our nearest and dearest at our rehearsal Friday night.  What better way to bribe them to listen up at the rehearsal than food?  As soon as we’re done with the rehearsal, we’ll be heading over to Blue Mesa for some Tex-Mex good times!

We’ve already reserved one of the two “party” rooms for our rehearsal dinner. I’m really excited to show off some Tex-Mex to our East Coast family and friends who don’t get to enjoy it nearly enough…or like ever, haha.

Here are some of the items on our buffet-style menu. (Their site doesn’t have any yummy food pictures, but I wanted to make you hungry so I added in some Google images.)

  • Rainbow Chips
  • Red salsa and fire roasted salsa

All I can say is YUM!

Will you be having a rehearsal dinner?  What type of food will you be eating?

YUM! Blue Mesa has one of my top 3 queso dips! (I’m a queso snob). What a cool atmosphere for a rehearsal dinner, I love the decor! And the drinks are pretty nice as well ;)

Oh! I was at Blue Mesa on Friday!
Their chips are amazing! (The wild mushroom queso was good too)

We’re probably picking an Italian place in the metroplex.

@Knubbsy-Wubbsy: Originally we were going to do Italian too!! I love pasta!

We made the change when we thought of all of the people coming into town from out of state, and wanted to give them a little taste of what they’re missing up East.

OMG TEX MEX!!!!!! One of my absolute faves and when Mr TM lived in Dallas one summer, I went to visit him and it was soooooo good there, far superior to East Coast tex mex!

Tex-Mex sounds great!! The In-laws are paying for the rehearsal dinner and they want Italian. So that’s what we’re having, and I’m learning about compromise…. :)
