After all that picture taking, we finally had a free moment to rest before the civil ceremony. Mama Hot Wings needed more camera time, so I smiled and posed for the camera. Doesn’t she look happy?
Guests started arriving and taking their seats. We had no seating arrangement. Aside from a few reserved seats, it was a free-for-all, first come first serve seating arrangement. We didn’t care if people sat on the groom’s or the bride’s side.

Here are a couple photos that revealed things about our wedding day I had no clue happened. First, Little Bro Hot Wing started handing out the programs. Ah…what a good little brother. They would have sat in the basket by the door if he hadn’t handed them out. Thanks for thinking for me, bro.

Wait, what? High school friends found the beer! Beer before the ceremony? Where did they find those? Who left the cooler out? Oh yeah, we did. Oops. If you leave beer out, they will find it, and they will drink it! Lesson learned.

All the vendors were busy setting up for the civil ceremony. Camera people got in their spots. Videographers spotted out their spots. DOC got people in place. Us ladies? We were left in the bridal suite all alone. So what are a bunch of gussied up women to do? We let loose. Those pretty dresses that gave all my pretty Brideswomen cinched in waistlines were tight! So several of the ladies let down the zippers for a little bit.

I was super comfy in my altered-to-fit-my-body dress, so I didn’t need to unzip. I needed to let loose in a different way. What the heck am I doing? Letting the jitters out, of course. When the photographers are away, the bride will play.

The leprechaun jump, of course! Sadly, we couldn’t get a photo of the jump in the air. You could say I was letting my youthful figure skating me shine on my wedding day. Okay, maybe not. But luckily for me, my woman of honor knows exactly what to do when I get into this mood. She joins in! I love this woman! Looking back on these photos, I can honestly say that I had no problem playing and walking through sand, even with all that fancy beading or while wearing white or anything. I threw that train around like it was nobody’s business, and it still looked clean for all the photos. Now, check the jump out!

And then the photographer showed up again to tell us it was time to start heading down for the ceremony.
All lined up! Are you ready for this y’all? It’s about to get real up in here! The wedding processional is finally upon us.
Did you have a “get the jitters out” moment, too? How did you prep to walk down the aisle?

Do you need to catch up with the hotness?
