Cuff Link Cuteness

December 8th, 2010 @ 6:31 pm by Mrs. Jaguar

I really want to find Mr. Jaguar novelty cuff links of some kind—I have ever since I walked into a tiny store off Portobello Road in London, where I saw hundreds of personalised cuff links sitting in a display window. I wish I wasn’t so responsible and that I’d just bought a pair then and there…but I restrained, thinking it was WAY too early to start buying wedding stuff then. HA!

Instead, like with most aspects of the wedding, I turned to the internet for more inspiration, and found so! many! options! These ones are fairly straight to the point:

Or maybe we could get all the lads involved in the cuff link cuteness with some personalised ones?

I’m also loving these scrabble letters; they’re a little more subtle but super clever. (And they give respects to my slightly crazy Words with Friends addiction, yo.)

Or as an alternative, these sweet little sayings were included in Mr. Jaguar’s ‘groom survival kit’ that I mentioned the other day, and they could be a simple little addition to his suit lapel. He’d have the choice on which one he used, of course!

How creative did your groom get with his cuff links?

I’m planning on buying or making him a pair of Star Trek Cuff-links as his wedding gift from me. I can’t wait!

Words with Friends & Scrabble tiles, it’s just too much goodness in one post!

One of my best friends gave her husband vintage map cuff links on their wedding day (like these: http://www.etsy.com/search_results.php?search_query=vintage+map+cuff+links&search_type=handmade)…one was where they met, and the other was where they got hitched. They turned all who gazed upon them into blubbering messes ; )

I SO wanted to get Mr. G some cufflinks for a wedding present but I ran out of time :( He was saying how he should have some too! Bad wife. I’ve seen those Scrabble ones around a few times, they are so perfect!

We still haven’t decided, he may go normal but each of the GM, the officiant and the DJ are getting custom ones (ie kitchen utensils for the BM in culinary school)

I gave my husband cufflinks with the Rocky movie poster on them. I had them custom-made by someone on Etsy. He LOVED them! Unfortunately, I didn’t realize until the day before that the shirt that came with the tux he rented was a regular button cuff, not a french cuff. So right before the rehearsal dinner, my mom and I ran out to buy him a new french cuff shirt! So check that before you spend all that money!!

I’m making custom cufflinks for my groom and the groomsmen. The only hard part is getting each one of them something unique. I’m trying the Lego route for some but others I’m going to have to do some heavy thinking.

@Miss Ostrich: I just bought my fiance cufflinks in our dog’s honor, as well. I’m gifting him Bernese Mountain dog cuff links with our initials engraved on one and our wedding date on the other!

@Miss Jam: Oh, that is TOO precious. I love that. :)

@bunnylovesbear & @Miss Ostrich: I would love to do this with our Oscar kitty on them, since he won’t be with us on the wedding day either. What a gorgeous idea!

I think I’m going the pet route too, our pup is pretty important to us and I know my FI would love to have him there in a little way.

I love those buttons! So fun!

Also, I’m attempting to make FI the scrabble tile cufflinks for Christmas. I ordered his initials on ebay, and found the backings at a craftstore. Here’s hoping that it works!

Can we be Words with Friends, friends? Haha - I’m an addict.

I was debating on getting my FI something like that, but he doesn’t wear many shirts that would use cuff links.

If anything I’d get him something from here just to be amusing (and he’d get a kick out of it!): http://www.etsy.com/shop/crimsonking
