Immediately after the ceremony, Mr. Canary and I were shuttled off to sign our marriage certificate and to scarf down some hors d’oeuvres that our fantastic banquet manager had intentionally left in the bridal suite so we wouldn’t go hungry. We quickly practiced (which we hadn’t in weeks!) our dance steps for our first dance and hurried off to join our guests for the libations and food.

One of the things our guests raved about was the food! While Mr. Canary and I were upstairs, our guests were greeted by servers with trays of champagne. We were so glad we went with an Abigail Kirsch venue, because the food was top notch!
Of course, if you know me personally, you’d know what field I work in. So, naturally we had our own raw bar courtesy of Papa Canary. We also hired two professional shuckers so that we could have fresh shucked oysters. They really stole the show! Everything else offered was Abigail Kirsch magic and also did not disappoint!

The beautiful organic displays at the raw bar.

One of my faves: succulent shrimp cocktail. Yum!

Freshly shucked Pacific oysters.
We also opted for a pasta station in addition to passed hors d’oeuvres, so there was definitely something for everybody.

While our guests enjoyed the open bar and food, Mr. Canary and I snuck off to the terrace of Pier Sixty for a few quick portraits. Angelica captured some of my favorite photos of our entire wedding day in this session.

I love this shot with details from my Lynn Kiracofe veil.

So happy to be MRS. Canary!

Enjoying the view of the Hudson River.

One of our more formal portrait shots.
And before I could swallow another mini-burger, cocktail hour was already over and we had to get ready to be officially introduced and announced as Mr. and MRS. Canary!
