This photo has been residing in my full-to-the-brim inspiration folder. Although we were going to use it as sort of engagement-session inspiration, we forgot. That inspiration folder was so full that it got lost in the shuffle of “OMG ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS ARE HERE. LET’S GET PUMPED.”

Some background on this: I have a completely loving relationship with Polaroid pictures. Anybody remember the Polaroid i-Zone sticky-film camera from 1999-ish? Instant photos that were actually…stickers?!

The ever-so-cool Polaroid i-Zone, which I spent many hours pining for
Well, I always wanted one. And I never got it. Looking back now, it was probably a good thing because I would have gone through the pricey film cartridges in a hot second with a thousand pictures of a cat to show for it. And I mean, really, how many i-Zone stickers can you have of a cat?
But I never lost that loving feeling. I shook it like a Polaroid picture many a time listening to OutKast, was uber-jealous of people with Polaroid cameras hanging around their necks on vacations, and eventually had a “Weekend de la Polaroid” party with my friends:

Here are the “Weekend de la Polaroid” pictures, thanks to my bff and man of honor, Flip (on the left), who found an old Polaroid camera in his mom’s classroom. Also, everyone in the BFF picture on the right also happens to be in our wedding party. Do I smell a “Weekend de la Polaroid: Part Deux” in the making?
So I’m thinking Mr. Jam and I need to bust out a Polaroid camera and do some Polaroid lovin’ at some point in the near future for the sake of wedding decor. Yes? Good idea? Hold out a kissing picture while we’re kissing? Lay in a park, surrounded by a pile of funny photos of us? Do this at the wedding using all of the photos?

And this, my friends, is a DIY project I know I can handle. Because—fun fact—this is how we used to decorate our dorm-room walls in college. There’s only so much you can do with those drab, white walls.
Did you go from pining for an i-Zone sticky-film camera to using Polaroid pictures at your wedding? Did you have the same thought as Mrs. Sand Dollar after watching Taylor Swift’s “Mine” video, but with Polaroids? I’m enamored with this.
