Planning a successful wedding without breaking the bank requires a fair amount of compromise. However, Mr. Tartlet and I both agreed that photography was at the tippy-top of our priority list, and we were willing to invest for the best. Aruna B. is a-a-a-mazing, and every time I look at her photos I turn into a giddy pile of bridal mush. In addition to being a phenomenal photographer, Aruna also has a great personality and was an absolute pleasure to work with. She put us at ease right away, and throughout the session guided instead of instructed us. This resulted in a number of candid photos, which I adore:

My favorite part of the above photo is the crinkle at the corner of Mr. Tartlet’s eye! Aruna also had an eye for locations. I never would have thought to use the pavilion as a backdrop for our photos, but it worked out really well!

We took a stroll down a bridge…

…hung out for a while in this gorgeous gazebo…

I luuuuuuurve that shoe shot! We changed outfits and played in the woods for a bit:

And headed over to the swing set to get in touch with the inner child in each of us:

So, here’s the scoop on that last photo: Aruna asked Mr. Tartlet to push me on the swing and then run through. Mr. Tartlet proceeded to give me the most MASSIVE underdog recorded in playground history, and an instant after this “tah-dah!” moment was captured, gravity claimed me and I came tumbling to the ground. Luckily I only suffered a bruised elbow, but the situation still makes me laugh!
