Aishiteru: Lucky In Love Video

December 29th, 2010 @ 4:45 pm by Mrs. Glasses

Like Mrs. Sewing’s wedding video, my best friend did our videography as a gift. I really like the look of Super 8 but the film was just too expensive, so I asked my friend to recreate the look of it for some shots. I thought the “homemade” look for our video trailer would be appropriate for our backyard wedding.

David & Kristin’s Wedding from Jonathan Martinez on Vimeo.

It’s seven minutes long and uses two songs, so I don’t blame you if you don’t watch the whole thing. ;) Our videographer is in the process of editing a 40 minute-long more formal video that captures the day in its entirety. Videography was so important to us not only because Mr. G’s parents couldn’t be there, but also because the day went so fast and I’ll treasure these videos for the memories. I was so happy to see this and recapture a bit of old magic from our special day. And it turns out my dad was righr—I did rush him down the aisle!

Will you be having videography?

Missed something?

I also watched all of it & smiled the ENTIRE time! The “homemade” feel you aimed for made me feel like I was a guest & the whole event seemed so much more real (because sometimes, when wed vids are too perfect, I feel like I’m watching a movie trailer).

LOVE THIS!

I’m just going to admit it. I’m insanely jealous of your video. Because it’s so awesome. And because I know I won’t have one and I long for this kind of awesomosity!

I actually asked for a FlipHD video camera for Christmas, for the sole purpose of assigning a friend to record the ceremony. I’m so psyched to know that even without a budget for a professional videographer, I can still end up with something amazing to look back on.

Nice that you can save money on your wedding, but the video was really shakey! I know you said that a friend did it for you but still really shakey. And yes I am planning on having a videographer. I already found my vendor for it… a real nice husband and wife team. They are amazing and quite affordable for my low budget.

How am I sooo late seeing this? GOSH GLASSES, you look FABULOUS and this is just STUNNING. I really felt like I was there! Mr. B watched the vid with me, and he was all like, “that’s Kristin in Japan, right?” Haha! It was too cute! We LOVED your second song choice, too. CLASSIC!!!!

@Meowmix318: Hm. I thought is was supposed to be like that. Really, I did, and I thought it added a bit of … I don’t know what you call it, but vintage-ish-ness?! Either way, thought it was fabulous and made me feel really good about the fact that a friend is taping ours as well.
