Just picture this. I was out to dinner with my grandmother who can barely turn on her computer, so she definitely doesn’t understand blogs. She stepped away for a few minutes so I checked my email to pass the time. And then I saw it. My acceptance letter from Mrs. Penguin!

I’m the newest bee! *squee* (I apologize in advance for all of the exclamation points, but I’m sure you understand.)

One of the coolest things about being a bee is that I now get to talk to a wonderful group of folks planning weddings who understand this thing that has temporarily taken over my life. My friends are all married with children or decidedly single. And I am in between in weddingland. Stuck in the middle with you!

So why am I Miss Lox, you may ask?

Well, it was an easy choice really. Bagels and lox are one of my absolute favorite brunch foods ever. So, it was pretty much love at first sight. Mr. Lox tried to lobby for a cute little puppy or safari animal or something. He wasn’t sure about being breakfast food. But when he realized that me asking him for his opinion was basically a rhetorical question, he gave in gracefully. And the Loxes we shall bee!

Hive, I am totally excited to start talking wedding planning with you. So buckle up your seat belts and keep your arms and legs inside the car at all times. And off we go!

Be prepared for lots of self portraits and silly faces. That’s just how we roll.
