Madness Ensues

January 3rd, 2011 @ 2:44 pm by Mrs. Lox

I blame Miss Cardigan for what I am about to tell you. Oh yes, so suggestible am I that she has imprinted a single image in my head. An image that cannot be shaken. Now I am only seeing cute little paper balls.

Mr. Lox finds this amusing. He came home from a late night at the office to me making faces and exclaiming “Look at these!” Well, I mean look at them…

I mean, seriously, who could resist? Apparently not Mr. Lox.

He promptly started talking me into making them. I tried to fight it. “What would we do with them?” I asked. He insisted we could use them.

“For what?” I asked.

For anything! Garlands around the house! Tiny paper lanterns with lights inside! Wedding decorations!

Who am I kidding? He had me at anything. Now, will he be so keen on the idea when he figures out it means another trip to Michaels…?

Have you ever made something without knowing how you’d use it? Or is there a time and place for everything you make?

Too funny. I too made those same paper balls after seeing them on this blog, but after only making four or five of them I stopped production since I changed my centerpiece idea and decided that I wouldn’t have a use for them. They were pretty cute though and even my fiance had fun trying to play around making these in different sizes, types of paper, etc.

Love those! Sadly, mine did not make the cut in the end as I assembled them too early and they died during our trip to Austin. Consider yourself warned! :)

Lol yes that’s the hard part, figuring out how it all ties together! I’ve made many decisions before being sure of how it would all fit, but somehow as time and planning progress it seems like it’s all falling in place! I know it will for you too

Oh my! They are so cute but I have no idea how you would use them! Make a lot of them and stick them in a vase for decoration? Leave them scattered around guest tables? Hang them from strings like a curtain? Just so sweet!

I am OBSESSED with paper - and Michael’s! You could always put these in a large glass jar or bowl on a shelf or table in your home if you do not use them in your wedding - - too cute!!
