As I write this, it’s 7:45 in the morning and I’m laying in my bed at the hotel. My wedding dress is hanging against the doorway, along with my bridesmaids’ dresses. Wedding paraphernalia is scattered across the suite and my two bridesmaids are still sleeping soundly.
I’m getting married today.
These past couple of days have felt surreal in a way that I can’t even begin to describe. I’ve been planning this day for a year and a half now, and a huge part of me is having a really hard time believing that it’s actually here.
Hive, y’all have been so amazing in the past 7 months I’ve been blogging here. When I first started blogging, my wedding felt like this pretend day way in the future that would never actually come, and now it’s here. It has been an incredible honor to be a part of such a great community. Your comments, PMs, and tweets have meant the world to me and I’m so grateful for all of you.
Today, I’m going to be marrying my best friend in the whole entire world.
Mr. Cardigan, I love you more than you’ll ever know. The excitement has finally hit me full force, and I can’t shake the butterflies out of my stomach. I’m so, so excited to be marrying you today and I can’t wait to start the rest of my life with you!
In about 9 hours I’ll be getting ready to walk down the aisle. I can’t wait. But, for now, I’m going to snuggle back under the covers and savor the last few minutes before my alarm clock goes off and the day truly begins. It’s going to be an exciting ride, and I can’t wait to get started.
