The ceremony began just before sunset.

I stood there with my dad, watching the bridal party walk out ahead of us. My favorite song from the processional was Debussy’s Clair de Lune on the piano. The classical song was light and airy, perfect to ease us into the warm summer evening.
Here are the highlights of the walk down the aisle with Mr. Lobster leading:
Mr. Lobster’s parents decked out in their coordinating pink outfits:
My mom and grandpa. My grandpa is over 80 years old and still walks so young:
My beautiful sisters and Maids of Honor. See how they look all teary-eyed from Eric’s pep talk?

Then, it was dad’s and my turn. Of course, in the walk down the aisle, I was so overwhelmed I don’t remember hearing any of the music as I got closer to Mr. Lobster, who was patiently waiting (again).
Someone once told me to walk slow down the aisle and make eye contact with your guests. It’s a once in a lifetime moment and as you can see, I took advantage of it as he guided me down the aisle.
Dad gesturing to mom to come over and greet me as they had rehearsed.
Then it was time for my dad to “give me away”:
With everyone now in place - my bridesmaids
and his groomsmen -
I stood up there, hand in hand, with someone I already considered my life partner, about to declare it to each other in front of our family and friends.

If you missed part of this lobster tale…
