After knowing each other for four years, a year-long engagement, and months of planning, Mr. Lobster and I were finally tying the knot.
Father Mark officiated the ceremony. We had met him through Mr. Lobster’s parents and had gotten to know each other through pre-marital sessions. It was nice to have someone we considered a new friend to marry us.
To be honest, it was all a blur (I know I already said that). I just remember standing up there staring at Mr. Lobster, trying not to cry (I succeeded), not really noticing anyone else there in the room with us.
Mr. Lobster’s sister did a reading for us.
Then we said our vows.
We exchanged rings.
Father Mark blessed us.
And we kissed.
We walked out together as a married couple…
…to spend a few private moments together. Then, the wall dividers parted welcoming the guests to cocktail hour! Whee!
If you missed part of this lobster tale…
