As per my stripe/floral plan, and our color scheme/feel, I needed a way to incorporate the color black, without it coming off as heavy or too dark or uber-modern.
After a few months of collecting, I had to clean up my under-staircase storage (which I affectionately call “Harry Potter’s bedroom”) to accommodate this amalgam of wrought iron:
AKA the start of our centerpieces. Since they are each different, we’ll also be getting about a dozen of these IKEA lanterns to create a little more continuity:
Interspersed between the wrought iron decor, the flowers will look something like this:
…only plus a little more pink and maybe some blue hydrangeas. And it will all be on banquet tables swathed in this color tablecloth:
Plus a cake table and (and maybe head table?) with a tablecloth or runner like this:
Whew! What do you think? I haven’t really seen a lot of wrought iron used in centerpieces, so I’m hoping it looks okay!
