De Da Le De De De…Two Ladies

Well, in an effort to be funny, I made a little mistake. Actually, it’s not a mistake because it was fixed easily enough and our invites look totally badass now. They aren’t so cookie cutter anymore.

Okay…so you want in on my super funny, whoopsie-inducing, joke?

That’s a lot of kings! Why did I put all the kings on our RSVP cards? The king has spoken and he says that our  guests must send back their RSVP cards on time…and nobody disobeys the king.

But then I weighed our invitations. I missed the boat completely because our invites weighed 61 cents worth of postage. I seriously underestimated the cost of mailing these suckers out. I had 20 sheets of straight up queens and needed to purchase another 20 co-ed sheets.

I made the most of my whoopsie. There are a shit ton of ways to rearrange the stamps when you play with the straight and wavy edges of the stamps. Clearly, I had a lot of time on my hands. Hey! Give me a break. I was savoring the last few moments with these invites. Oh yes, you know what that means, dontcha? Dontcha wish your invites were done like mine?

So kings, grab your jester and let everyone know your orders. No one is to disobey the king!

“Dontcha wish your invites were done like mine?”

Is it wrong that I’m totally singing that in my head now? I’m singing it ala Pussycat Dolls. (Don’t cha wish your girlfriend was hot like me?)

I digress. ;)

I’m loving the Cabaret reference! The Narrator in that show is brilliant!

@jj: I’m glad I’m not the only one who caught the Cabaret reference! What a classic Broadway show!

Oh man, JJ and Miss Bumble - you’re not alone - that song is now in my head… FOREVER!

Song now also in my head. I’m jealous–just found out that the postage change in April will be right after I mail the invites and while RSVPs are coming in. I can do something cute for the invites, but the RSVPs will have to be boring forever stamps…

I’m totally going to be humming that song for the rest of the day. I’d definitely listen to the king’s decree!

@jj: @Miss Bumble: @7SEVENJ9: I’m so glad you picked up on that!

@sparks: Guests have started to receive them so as soon as the far away people start sending back their responses, I’ll show em.

@Melissa: I believe all stamps are sold as forever stamps. I don’t think it is just exclusive to the Liberty Bell.
