I’ve already told you about our invitation envelope and belly band…now for what guests see when they open up the pocketfold. Take a peek!

Our invitation suite consists of four inserts: a map for getting to the ceremony and reception, an accommodations card that gives guests hotel info, the RSVP postcard, and a note about the art gallery timing and reception location. What are those stickers in the front of the pocket, you ask? Why, those are the stickers that guests will use to attach to their RSVP postcard to indicate if they will be coming to the wedding and if they will need a ride from the hotel, of course!
Don’t give me any credit for this idea. It was totally and 100% stolen from Mrs. Duckling’s awesome wedding invitations. Thanks, Duckling!

Yay! I’m so happy with the final product, and I was even more thrilled to get our first RSVP back…with two affirmative stickers, no less!

GREAT job, those are beautiful! Ok, I have a question since I am getting ready to mail my invites as well. I’ve heard that you can take them to the post office and request that they “hand cancel” them or something like that so they are not put through the machine and get ugly ink all over the place. Do you know if this true? If so, do you know any details on how to get it done (extra cost, etc.)? Again, your invites are so gorgeous!

@B: I think it depends on how friendly the post office is whether they will hand cancel at no cost or not. I tried hand canceling with my STDs, and one postal worker did it no problem, and then when I went back with another group of STDs, the next worker told me that they didn’t do it for free any more and there was some crazy cost per-item. What???!? I literally went to a different post office and had no problem. I didn’t end up hand canceling for my invites, and it seemed to work out just fine.

Yay Ms. Hippo. Beautiful as I thought it was going to be. I love the invite and the inserts and really, I’ve never seen those stickers on an invite before. You really knocked this one outta the ball park
