Whatever you call them, they just seem a lot like what I do at work. So…instead of a super cute slideshow of adorable and embarrassing photos of the young Bacons growing up, we’re going to hang and frame photos of us as inspired by the one and only Martha Stewart.

I love the way that these frames are suspended from ribbons on lots of different shapes and sizes of frames. It lends the whole display a more vintage feel, which is totally appropriate for our old-school photos. I’ve seen some other versions that are simply clustered frames on a wall, but this version gives more freedom depending on what the venue’s restrictions are for hanging things. Since there won’t be a whole lot going on during the cocktail hour, I think that hanging a bunch of these babies around the room would give guests something to do while noshing on bite-sized foods. Hopefully I’ll have enough photos so that I’ll be able to cluster age groups together all around the room.

What is going in those fantastic hanging frames, you ask? Well, here’s a little selection of the goodies I found at home over the holidays. FMIL Bacon is going to be bringing up some albums at the end of the month that we can sift through for pictures of the mister. For now, here are some of my faves!

Baby’s first Christmas! I don’t think we’ve had a live tree since then, and for obvious reasons. Apparently my parents were heavily influenced by A Charlie Brown Christmas in 1985.

I like to think that this is my first time ever successfully using chopsticks. Don’t I look very pleased with myself?

We definitely had this Cabbage Patch doll until I was 12 or 13. I just love that we both had glasses!!!

A badass since I was five, clearly demonstrated by my pink sunglasses and matching pink windbreaker while riding with Papa Bacon on his Harley

Can’t wait to share the photos we dig up of Mr. Bacon! How are you showcasing old photos at your wedding?

aaaaw you were so cute!

We’re doing something similar. I had wanted a slideshow but we won’t have access to projectors or anything for our wedding so I’ll be putting photos of us in nice frames on each table and around the guest book table. I guess I had better start collecting some frames!

That’s kind of what we’re going to do! We’re making like a giant billboard and using ribbon to hang pics. I figured guests would be able to mingle and look at pics together!

I love the picture of you and your Dad on the motorcycle! Will you be sneaking boots under your gown?

I love it! I am photo obsessed. We can’t really hang things at our venue, so during the cocktail hour we’ll have small photo albums on each table for guests to flip through. During the reception the cake table will have framed photos of our parents/grandparents’ weddings and our table numbers will have photos of FI and I throughout the years.

What a great idea! I’m a pic fan of pictures but a slideshow might be tough in our venue so this is an awesome alternative! Thanks for sharing — PS I’m LOVIN the pics! :)

I love that idea! The slideshow seemed like too much work to me too, but my BIL made one for us for our engagement party.
