It was finally time to do our first look! Our photographer Georgi picked out a place in our hotel where we could do it without a lot of other people around. Originally, he wanted it to just be me and Mr. Socks, but I knew Momma Socks would just DIE if she didn’t see what was going on, so she and my bridesmaids had a balcony view to what was going on:

But here’s how the first look happened… Mr. Socks’ back was turned:

I appeared:

It was a series of Georgi saying “okay, come down a little more. A little more. Get ready to turn, Mr. Socks…”

So it was a little more staged than I thought it would be, but the results make me so happy!

Look at that face! Love him!

At this point, Mr. Socks said “Seriously? Can you wear this every day?”

I think he liked it. 

And when we had done enough smooching and smiling, Momma Socks was finally released so she could come and check out the action:

Mrs. Socks: What do you think?

Mr. Socks: You look awesome.

Aww…my honey is so eloquent with words.

I loved having the first look! With the way our wedding was set up, it would have been impossible to take photos after the ceremony, so the first look was perfect!

After we marvelled at each others’ beauty, we headed out of the hotel to Rittenhouse Park a few blocks away to take formal photos.
