We interrupt these Lobster recaps for a few photos of the reception to set the mood. Our reception hall during set-up. You can see the tealight candles on the window ledges.

Centerpieces by the amazing Jeannie at Atlas Floral Decorators. We chose a garden arrangement with light colors similar from my bouquet—pinks, purples, blush, with green—in a silver pedestal vase, surrounded by three goblets with floating candles. At the last minute, we added amber uplighting which you can sort of see on the far columns. This really made the room feel romantical and warm. ![]()
Ah, yes, return of the paper products - table numbers, place cards, and menus all in their rightful places.
At the last minute, we added an “I Spy” game with disposable cameras for the kids.
Our venue caterer Abigail Kirsch provided the cake. This was the “shimmering quilt” design. In retrospect, I wish I had provided them with the cute birds my sister made for my bridal shower as a cake topper!
Another view from the outdoor terrace.
Our New York skyline in the background

Next time, back to the reception.
If you missed part of this lobster tale…
