Mrs. Eggs Benedict, Seattle Age and Occupation: 29, Attorney Fiance's Age and Occupation: 35, Attorney Engagement Date: December 5, 2009 Wedding Date: February 2011 Venue: IslandWood About Me: I'm a Northwest girl who spends my time goofing around with Mr. Eggs Benedict and our dog, hiking, traveling, drinking wine and planning a wedding that will showcase the best of what the Pacific Northwest has to offer. I also love photography, beating Mr. Eggs Bene at Mario Kart, and watching the most ridiculous natural disaster flicks you can think of (seriously, how can you deny the awesomeness that is The Core or 2012?? That's right, you can't). We are planning our weekend wedding adventure at an environmental educational center, and I can't wait for the fun to begin!

Return to Sender

January 31st, 2011 @ 6:30 pm by Mrs. Eggs Benedict

I’ve been wanting to get a cute return-address stamp ever since Mr. EB and I moved in together. Luckily I didn’t get one until now because we’ve moved three times since our first place together. (What, you guys don’t move that often?) But since we’re (hopefully) not going to be moving again for a little while, and I really didn’t want to handwrite our return address on every single wedding invitation, I went looking for a stamp.

I kept looking at different stamps on Etsy—like this one:

And this one:

Oh, and this one, too:

But I just couldn’t pull the trigger. Then I thought about using Impress Rubber Stamps to just design my own. But I was lazy and didn’t really want to do that. But THEN—I saw this stamp and knew it was the one:

I love the font and I love the casualness of just using our first names. Plus, I can use it as the return-address stamp on our wedding invitations since it doesn’t have only Mr. EB’s last name on it (since that’s not my name yet I’d feel weird using it now), but I can also use it after the wedding without feeling odd that it still had my maiden name on it.

In any event, it came the other week, and I LOVE it! They did a great job and sent me the proof and then the actual stamp incredibly quickly. And it’s a great addition to our invitations!

How are you tackling the return addresses on your wedding invitations?

Absolutely adorable! Was just thinking I needed to get one the other day. These are great suggestions.

We got one from Etsy as well, and also went with just our first names. I’ve gotten a kick out of every time I’ve used it since the wedding, which I do gleefully for even the most mundane correspondence.

How fun!! We’re doing the wrap around labels so we’ll obviously have them printed on the back part of the label!!!

I am planning to do the same thing, but we know we are moving at the end of March so I’m waiting until I know the new address =) I am also planning on just using our first names so that I can use it before the wedding, also! Love the font you picked!

Ooooh, I want one. We are house hunting right now, so I guess I have to wait until I know our address! I love the idea of just using first names. :)

Ughh, after reading this I became OBSESSED with looking for a return address stamp. Even though I have tons of other stuff to do (like make my wedding invitations!), I spent like 3 hours on Etsy searching for the perfect one. Sigh.

This reminds me that I was meaning to look for a return address stamp & totally forgot about it somewhere along the way. And now, thanks to you, I’m incredibly jealous. Your life is going to be so much easier having it AND it’s way cute!

I know what you mean! We’re hoping to move in the next year or two, so I wasn’t going to buy a stamp, but it seemed the best (and by best I mean prettiest) way to do our return addresses.

We got this on etsy, but used just our first names instead of mr. & mrs. last name:

I definitely recommend the seller, the stamp looks great & she was easy to work with!

This is where we bought ours! We wanted something that would always remain classic and the swirls matched our invitations! Couldn’t beat the price either!!!
