So, you saw glimpses of our balloons peeking out from behind the tree at our ceremony, but really, we bought them to use during our portraits. I’m not sure where I first got the idea, and originally I was worried that they’d look cheap or childish, but I am so glad we decided to go for it. Wanna see why?
These are easily some of my favorite photos from the day.
Something about balloons just brings out the kid in everyone. So fun!
After moseying along hand-in-hand with our balloons, I decided that things needed to get a little competitive.
I kicked of my shoes, took off my veil, and ready… set… GO!
We started off neck-and-neck…

…but ultimately I was victorious. Eat my dust, Mr. Rainbow.

love the pictures but pity about letting the balloons go this way. they usually fall and end up as trash, or in water bodies (oceans/lakes) and hurt or kill the marine life. you probably didn’t realize it, but i’d suggest that we all avoid doing this
@mrspaetz: I guess we were so caught up in our love bubble I didn’t even think about it! However, would I do it again? Yeah, probably.
If we really wanted to pick apart the eco-friendliness of weddings, we would all have to stop wearing new dresses, scrap all the paper products, not wear make-up manufactured with chemicals, ditch most of the cute decor, and engagement rings? Forget about it.
