Invitation Inspiration: Floral

February 7th, 2011 @ 2:23 pm by Mrs. Giraffe

I let you all know how much I love invitation inspiration, and I started off with sharing traditional invitations (that were way more well received than expected, thanks guys).

I don’t think that Mr. Giraffe and I really want floral themed invitations, just because we’re not really having a floral-y wedding. Who knows though, as I love floral invitations and everything about them. They can be super classy, or super modern, or really, both. Originally, I was kind of against floral invites because I thought they were kind of cheesy and predictable, but I was soooo wrong!

See, I can admit when I’m wrong (sometimes), so get ready for some amazing inspiration. First, here are some more traditional (but surprisingly hip) floral invitations.

Invitation Inspiration: Floral : wedding chicago invitations stationery 4201 Still traditional, but I loooove the modern image

Invitation Inspiration: Floral : wedding chicago invitations stationery Laura 2 Screams classy!

Definitely traditional

I always thought I was more modern person, but that third invite really appeals to me. I love the mix of modern and traditional.

Anyways, here are some modern floral invitations for you all to drool over.

Invitation Inspiration: Floral : wedding chicago invitations stationery Mk1 Talk about a pop of color!

Invitation Inspiration: Floral : wedding chicago invitations stationery Mitchel Every single thing here is perfect. Just perfect. I love it.

Invitation Inspiration: Floral : wedding chicago invitations stationery Sewn Ha Once again, just lovely. Believe it or not, the backs here are fabric covered and those big flowers are fabric too. Amazing.

Invitation Inspiration: Floral : wedding chicago invitations stationery Cranes Kate Spade: more than just purses and fancy China!

Invitation Inspiration: Floral : wedding chicago invitations stationery 5thave A big ampersand?! Love it! You know I love those!

Invitation Inspiration: Floral : wedding chicago invitations stationery Fieldsl Love the gray and yellow.

So, hive, are you in love? Yeah, me too. I can see why so many people lean towards floral wedding invitations. Classy, hip, and all around awesome.

What do you say team: floral traditional or floral modern?

Isn’t it funny what we learn about ourselves in the process of planning? I thought I’d be a more traditional gal. But as it turns out, I really love the more modern invitations. So modern floral for me, please and thank you. :)

I’m confused, this is showing up as Miss Lioness’ post, but it says Mr. Giraffe and links to a post Miss Giraffe wrote :(

I actually made the fabric flower invitations from merriment design. I heart them big time. There’s something magical about the feel of fabric and paper together. :-)

Floral modern! The first modern one is sweet without being saccharine.

Floral modern. You can have the traditional wording and fonts, but still make it current with the graphic florals.

Thanks for saying my invitations scream classy! The fourth ones down (from Invitations by Ajalon) are actually the ones I designed with them - they left my name in there (Laura Emilie > username lemilie) but changed everything else around. How funny to see them pop up in a post!

I absolutely love both sets of yellow and grey invitations. Fun but still classy!

I’m gonna be old school and say floral traditional! I absolutely looooove the invites in the 2nd photo.

Our wedding is not floral at all, I never thought I would ever want floral invites, but now that I’m gathering inspiration I find myself leaning toward them. Who knew?!

I think floral designed cards help makes your invitations more charming and presentable. I can see that the designs are well-made and designed good.
