Our families joined us in the Rose Garden for a few family photos. This turned out to be a really nice part of the day because it was really the only time that we were alone with just our families.
Also, remember when I posted about giving everyone very vague instructions on what to wear (you can read about it here)? Basically, I only said, “wear jewel tones.” Let me know how you think they did! (Just for the record, I thought they all looked amazing!)
My step-mom, my two sisters, my dad, the Hermit Crabs and my brother-in-law
My sister and brother-in-law (don’t they look awesome! I LOVE the colors that they chose to wear)
My sister and I with our bubbe (grandmother—our dad’s mom)
Mr. HC’s brother, sister, and parents
My great aunt, Aunt B, my mom, the Hermit Crabs and my mom’s brother and sister-in-law, my aunt and uncle (the same aunt who made our chuppah)
My Aunt B - just about the most wonderful person ever!
One last moment together before we whisked away to start the wedding!
Hermit Crab wedding tip #11:
If you have an opportunity to take family photos, seize it—these are some of the only photos we have with our whole immediate families, plus, it was an opportunity to spend some time with them before the craziness really began.
