One of the things I’m looking most forward to during our wedding weekend is spending time with my bridal party. With only one exception, the ladies in my bridal party have each known me for more than 12 years. We’ve seen each other go through high points and low points, different relationships, marriages, children, joy and tragedy. To say that we’re close is a huge understatement, so when it came time to think about the wedding weekend, I really wanted to celebrate them as much as celebrating the upcoming Hippo marriage.

Sweet Mama Hippo agreed to host a luncheon the day before the wedding for my bridesmaids and house party ladies, as well as my grandmother, aunts and female cousins, and King Hippo’s mother and female relatives. I just got the invitation in the mail, and Mama Hippo hit a homerun, even using our wedding colors in the invite! Take a peek:

Mama Hippo said she ordered the invitations from eInvite.com, but get this…apparently the company has a deal with Costco, and if you access the site through Costco’s website, you get 25% off. Sweet! I’m not sure if you have to have a Costco membership in order to get the deal, but it’s definitely worth a shot! Mama Hippo said there were hundreds of options available for a wide range of tastes from contemporary to traditional. They will even provide samples of the paper for just a few dollars if you wanted to feel the paper before ordering. Mama Hippo was super happy with the process and the invitations turned out great!

I am so excited to have some time the day before the wedding to relax and chat with some of my favorite people. I’m also planning to hand out the bridal party gifts (more on that to come) during the luncheon. It’s all coming together, folks!
