Lovely Tonight: The Grand Entrance

February 8th, 2011 @ 4:36 pm by Mrs. Buttons

The dinner bell had chimed. Our guests had picked up their escort cards and were led into our reception space, which had been expertly flipped during our cocktail hour.

Once our guests were seated, our DJ assembled our wedding party and our family once again outside the French doors. He went over the pronunciation of each of our names and lined us up for the grand entrance.

Our bridal party was busy chatting and buzzing about until our entrance song began playing over the speakers. Here we go!

First up: Grandma A, escorted by my cousin J.

Grandpa L decided to ham it up for the camera during his entrance…what a goofball! And trust me—this is only the tip of the iceberg with his antics during the reception…

Mr. Buttons’ mom and dad entered next!

…followed by Mommy and Daddy Buttons! Someone must have been doing or saying something funny in order to solicit this face from my dad!

Our adorable flower girl and ring bearer were ushered into the reception space next, with a little guidance from BM A!

And then…it was time for our grand entrance! I turned my head and said to Mr. Buttons, “are you ready?” I was!

I felt the need to wave my bouquet over my head in a celebratory fist pump.

Wow. Everyone was there. Everyone was standing and clapping/cheering. This felt kind of strange! Therefore, I defaulted to my typical response to awkwardness: I threw my head back and laughed. Mr. Buttons clearly had his blinders on and was not paying attention to his new wife’s cackling! No matter!

We had made it. The spotlight was now all on us (again), and it was time for Mr. Buttons and me to fumble through our first dance as husband and wife…gulp.

This website is ctrlainey relatively helpful considering that I’m in the second making a web floral web site even though I’m only commencing out as a result it is truly relatively little, nothing at all such as this internet site.
