I bet you all thought I was done talking about wedding shoes, didn’t you? I had my heels and I had my flats—what more could a girl want?
*pause for giant tumbleweed to roll on by*
Apparently, a different pair of shoes.
I was out shopping with my Maid of Honour, Miss K, when we decided to hit the shoe stores. We have a bit of a thing where we’ll go into shoe departments and try on the most obnoxious and hideous shoes in the place and then attempt to walk in them. It’s been going on for months—we’ve done it in so many different stores (and countries!) that it’s hard to remember how it all began. It’s mighty fun though; I do recommend it.
Anyway, amidst all the terrifying shoes and dizzying heel heights, I pulled out a pair of heels in black that caught my eye. Peep-toe, walkable heel, simple yet cute detail…looking good! I tried the shoe on in a 9 (too big) and an 8 (too small) before finding out that they stocked an 8.5 (just right!). It was cute, it looked good, but it was black. I didn’t need black shoes. That was that—until I realised that the shoes also came in charcoal grey.
What’s that, you say?
Why Miss Jaguar, aren’t your colours ivory, grey & sage green? Why yes, yes they are! Funny you should mention that. You guys, the grey shade was perfect. It matched the girls’ bridesmaid dresses almost exactly. Check them out for yourself:

Oh, grey shoes – you taunt me so. But that’s not it: there’s even more adorable detail to these shoes. LOOK AT THE BOWS:

I couldn’t help it – they were PERFECT. They’re now hiding out in a safe location away from a certain male in the household, and I can’t wait to whip them out from under my wedding dress to show them off.

Did you ever become a two (or three!) shoe bride?
