Hermit Crab wedding tip #13:

Day-of-coordinators are great for the logistics, but if you have a sister, MOH, loyal friend by your side, your whole day will be infinitely easier! My sister was AMAZING—ready to fix a curl, hold my hand, or dance with me.

Sisters are the best DOCs. Mine totally had my back at all times before, during, and after.

My FSIL will be my MOH (ok, only honor attendant) and I think she’ll be great.

BTW-your hubby is adorable (but you already knew that!)

Oh my word! I love your hair and your glasses! I rock frames as well, and I envisioned my wedding hair being JUST like yours…but I chopped 14 inches off for Locks of Love the day before my FI proposed. That was three months ago, and the wedding’s in nine weeks. Short hair for me. : (

I love this hermit crab tip because it applies so well to me. I was blessed because I had a best friend who is also a hairstylist and might as well be a sister, do my hair for wedding day for myself and ALL THE GIRLS as her GIFT to me AND attend the wedding as a guest and “fix” anything necessary. Plus, I am a wedding coordinator by profession so I hired one of my co-workers to run the day of for me, which was a HUGE relief. AND of course, I had TWO maid of honor, sisters there with my who were pure perfection and seriously, i couldn’t have gotten married without them! :)

Question! How did you make sure your veil stayed secure with your hair like it is? I’m planning basically the same hairstyle and have been wondering such. :)

@mclove: I’m pretty sure the answer is lots and lots (and lots and lots) of hairspray directed right at the clip!
@Miss Ostrich: @Mrs. Starfish: Thank you!
@crazybabyinlove: Sounds like you’re so lucky to have such a great team with you!!

I’m wearing my hair down like yours and have a veil as well. How did you get your veil to stay in your hair?

@Mrs. Cardigan: @Mrs. Glasses: Thank you!!
@Katie: I am pretty sure we popped it in and then used a TON of hairspray!! It stayed just fine all the way through the ceremony and then we took it out. Oh, come to think of it, we used a bunch of bobby pins to hold it in place as well!
