Guess what we’re going to talk about today? It starts with ‘sh’, ends with ‘oe’ and is probably going to result in me being maimed by a slew of angry brides on a budget. Seriously, I bet you’re all wondering why I’m still going on about shoes—especially since you saw my first shiny silver pair, my ruffly flats and my spontaneous purchase of the cute grey peep-toes from just the other day. I can’t possibly have more shoes to show you… or can I?
As my Maid of Honour told me today in disgrace, I am now banned from going anywhere near the shoe aisles in stores until after the wedding. While wandering the aisles of Target today, I found yet another pair of gorgeous shoes. They were sitting all by themselves on the shelf and were highly reduced…and what do you know? They fit! And I fell in love. Again. I KNOW. It’s ridiculous! How many shoes does a girl really need for her wedding day?

These are the traditional bridal shoes that I always thought I’d wear down the aisle: except I couldn’t find them at the time for less than $150. Until today, that is.

The brooch! I die! So sparkly. *huge sigh*

These babies are also from {the Australian} Target and as they were the last pair in the store—they were reduced to $14. FOURTEEN DOLLARS. Cheap as chips! As I’m sure you’ve obviously guessed, I snapped them up and decided to wait and see what I thought of them once I got home and wore them around our apartment for a little while. After stomping about in them this afternoon, I’ve decided that I love them too much to part with them.
So what does this mean for this four-shoed bride? I still have a few more months to figure out my footwear choices for the day, but right now I’m leaning towards using all of them somehow… if I can. I’m thinking:
- Glittery strappy shoes – for pre-wedding activities, bachelorette (if I have one) and rehearsal/rehearsal dinner. That way I don’t feel like I’m abandoning them quite so much. To be honest, they’ll be good for any formal night out!
- Classic ‘bridal’ peep-toes with brooch – for church ceremony/photographs
- Funky grey peep-toes with bow – for photographs/reception & dancing
- Ruffly flats – for relief during any or all of the aforementioned wedding festivities.

Note to self: Miss Jaguar – just because a shoe happens to be on sale, does NOT mean you have to buy it! That’s it! Done. No more.
Did you have major indecision on anything bridal-related?
