As soon as Mr. Rainbow and I walked in, we went straight to the cake cutting, as the cake was to be sliced and served in the kitchen. Plus, I maybe just really really wanted some cake. (I love Mr. R’s face—he’s trying not to screw it up!)

Did I mention it was cheesecake? Because it was. Obviously I was very excited about that. The top tier was amaretto flavored, and the bottom tier was white chocolate raspberry. Could not wait.

“That piece, I want that one.”

Mr. Rainbow: “Are we doing the…”

Me: ” Don’t even think about it.”

Open wide.

My turn! Once again, my “Oh, you better not!” face makes an appearance!

I instructed him to give me a big piece (Hey! I was hungry!), but maybe that was a bad idea…

Or not! The cake was delicious. It was literally the best cheesecake I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a lot of cheesecake in my day!

Best wedding cake ever. YUM!

• and we got to greet our guests and see the reception set-up!
