Mrs. Lioness, Atlanta Age and Occupation: 25, Physical Therapist Fiance's Age and Occupation: 25, Attorney Engagement Date: August 29, 2009 Wedding Date: April 2011 Venue: Anthony’s Fine Dining About Me: I’m a Southern girl with New England roots. I say "wicked" and "y’all" in the same sentence and I like to drink sweet tea with my lobster. Mr. Lion and I are both former Floridians now living in Atlanta, which fortunately is still SEC country...Go Gators! We both love baseball, coffee, traveling, cooking, and playing Words with Friends with each other on our iPhones all day long. I’m very passionate about the things and the people I love, and I tend to plan things with all of my heart...our wedding, of course, is no different! Oh, and also Mr. Lion is a first generation American of Cuban descent. I may look more like Lucy than Ricky, but I’m doing my best to incorporate some Latin elements into our vintage-garden-Southern wedding!

One Last Invitation Reveal

February 17th, 2011 @ 6:59 pm by Mrs. Lioness

We’re having a traditional Cuban pig roast, called a caja china, for our rehearsal dinner. The decor of the restaurant is bright and tropical, mostly with shades of red and turquoise.

When we designed the invitations for our rehearsal dinner, we wanted to incorporate this tropical color scheme, but we also wanted it to go along with our invitation suite. It seemed like a stretch, but then we found one element that could carry over.

The carving on the tree! Now, how could we make an oak tree tropical? By turning it into a palm tree of course! Without further ado, here is our rehearsal dinner postcard invitation:

Does your rehearsal dinner have the same theme as your wedding? If not, did you carry over some elements from your wedding into your rehearsal dinner?

Cute invites! Our RD invites will probably have no tie into our invites, but will go with the TexMex theme of the dinner restaurant.

If our rehearsal dinner had a theme, it would have been BBQ. In the backyard. (a pretty yummy theme!) It was very low key - no invites, no special decor. Just yummy barbecue and family and close friends.

Love the invites. Our rehearsal was themed 80’s nerds and prom queens. It was really awesome, but had nothing to do with the wedding.
