Finally… I Can Walk Down the Aisle!

February 20th, 2011 @ 1:45 pm by Mrs. Hippo

Yes indeed. I have finally decided what song to use for the bridal procession. If you remember, I mentioned here that I had picked an awesome song for the bridesmaids, but I was struggling with the song for my processional. Well… struggle no longer. Thanks to a comment on one of posts, hive member Queen2bee pointed me in the direction of this gem:

I had never heard of Tyrone Wells pre-Queen2bee, but now I have a slight obsession with the man, and this pick is just perfect for creating the happy/touching feeling I’m looking for. I’m so excited! (And I just can’t hide it!)

Now I just have to practice walking SLOWLY so we can actually get to hear more of the song. I’m hoping that by the time Mama Hippo and I walk down the aisle, we hug at the end of the aisle, King Hippo hugs Mama Hippo, and Mama Hippo sits down, we can get through the first verse and chorus (about 50 seconds in). It’s a perfect part of the song to fade the music out.

Am I being overly optimistic here? For married bees, about how long did it take you to walk down the aisle?

I don’t know this song, but it’s so gorgeous! Beautiful. I love how the hive gives people ideas that we’d never have thought of on our own.

Beautiful! I think it took me at least a minute, probably more like 90 seconds, to walk down the aisle. Just look around and take it all in! That’s one of the best parts.

I’ve never heard of Tyrone Wells, either, but now this song has been downloaded to my iTunes! Glad you found a song you love, Hippo. :)

Ooh! Great song! He’s just been added to my list thanks to this post. Maybe start it for a few seconds, then have a grand entrance afterwards to make sure you get as much of the song played?

On our second date my finance emailed him and asked him to play this song and dedicate it to me. It was my favorite before but that made it even more special :) He is such an awesome musician!
