About Mrs. Zebra

I was only able to tune into the Oscars for a moment or two before running out the door to deal with a little situation with the flower girl dresses. However, I had enough time to catch a peek at Kelly Osbourne’s fabulous makeup. Oh Em Gee. She looked stunning. I thought I had my hair and makeup all nailed down months ago. Now, with a little less than a week before my hair trial, my steel reserve has begun to wither. Ahhhhh such is life.

LOVE!

I am a little nervous that the high intensity pink lipstick will quickly become dated. Apparently not nervous enough to go for it though. Hell, if my dad could rock a peach suit with ruffle shirt in the ’70s, bring on the 2011 Barbie Doll lips!

What aspect of your wedding do you fear will date it most?

I worry a bit about the ladies outfits, including mine, really. It seems like bridal gowns and bridesmaid outfits are what we gawk at the most from decades past!

Also, I hope you’re pleased with yourself for getting that song in everyone’s head now ;)

I *love* rock star pink lipstick! Our guys will be wearing skinny ties paired with vests, and that’s probably the element I’d worry most about in terms of dating our wedding.

Certainly what everyone is wearing more than my make-up. I’m afraid I’ll look back 30 years from now and be, “why did I make those girls wear that color?!?!” haha. oh well.

My mom and aunt have been wearing that exact shade of lipstick for 20 years, and even though they occasionally get comments on it, they’re both pretty consistently stylish! You just have to make it your own. :) I say go for it!

I have decided that I will do what I like and not worry about looking dated.

::25 years later:: “Mom, what were you thinking? Really? All the bridesmaids in different style dresses? The Teens…Bleech!” “Yes Future Daughter, I liked what I liked, and we all looked and felt fabulous that day! Nothing can take that away even if styles have changed.”

I say OWN the trends! ^_^

I guess I wonder about the hand-tied bouquets we’ll have. I LOVE them, but perhaps it will “date” the wedding pics 10 yrs. from now…

Love the makeup! I think, at some point, it will all look dated. But isn’t that half the fun of looking at old wedding photos? :)
