I love all things vintage. Vintage clothes, vintage furniture, vintage handbags, and vintage cars–I love them all. Lucky for me, I happen to be marrying a man who shares my love of all things vintage, especially vintage cars. About a year ago, Mr. Cotton Candy was bit by the vintage-car-buying bug, more specifically the vintage-BMW-buying bug, and about six months later this beauty found its way into our driveway.

BMWs have a special place in Mr. Cotton Candy’s heart. A large portion of his family on his late father’s side, including his brother, work as master BMW mechanics, and many of his favorite memories from his early 20s revolve around his cousins and him tricking out their vintage and late-model Beamers. So what does all this have to do with weddings? Well, friends, I’ll show you.

Pics of couples posing in, around, and on top of vintage cars have been filling up my wedding-inspiration folder since the beginning of our engagement and, in the spirit of full disclosure, I secretly hoped Mr. Cotton Candy would purchase the Beamer for the sole reason of getting pics like this. I’m super excited to be able to get some pro pics of Mr. Cotton Candy and me with the Beamer in our wedding finery, and I love that I will be able to honor his family history with BMWs.

We are going to use my dad’s 1956 Lincoln as our transport. Imagine this in tan w/ white top:

We’re tryiing to get our friends to agree to bringing his sweet cherry red ‘65 mustang convertible to the wedding just for pictures, but we aren’t sure he will be willing to “expose” it to so many onlookers.

We arrived in 1957 Chevy Converitble, unfortunately due to the weather we couldn’t put the top down nor are there many pics with it because of the weather.
