Mrs. Tartlet's Picture
Mrs. Tartlet, Rochester, MI Age and Occupation: Age & Occupation: 27, Post-Doctoral Research Fellow Fiance's Age and Occupation: 28, Medical Student Engagement Date: May 2, 2009 Wedding Date: May 2011 Venue: The Royal Park Hotel About Me: I'm an exuberant gal from the Midwest with a penchant for Neuroscience and anything sparkly. I'm not afraid to poke fun at myself, and I'm a believer that given the right pair of shoes, a girl can conquer the world. While an interest in the sciences threw Mr. Tartlet and me together (again, and again, until it finally stuck), we share a love for many things---food, video games, car dancing, food, bad puns, travel, did I mention food?---that ultimately led us to where we are now, less than five months from becoming Mr. and Mrs. We're planning a laid-back, romantic, garden-inspired affair with organic and quirky touches that reflect our love for the unexpected!
About Mrs. Tartlet

…or to speak plainly, how did I not know about Antiquaria before? Maybe I’m just toddling in the dust of the bandwagon, but just tonight I discovered this amazing place dedicated to selling vintage housewares with a focus on mix and match china sets. Feast your eyes on these:

I love all the bright and colorful pieces available! From what I gather, the owners will curate vintage china settings unique to each couple and then set up a registry link so your guests can shop for you—and only for you! This wouldn’t be a stand-alone registry for us, but perhaps as a fun and cute alternative to the standard registry? Or a housewarming gift to myself? Yippee!

Has anyone else heard about or used Antiquaria? I’m itching to know more about it!

My grandma has those blue glasses! Not in that color, but the exact same style of glass! They’ve been in the family forever.

Never heard of it! If you like this kinda stuff I can sell you some of my “vintage” stuff left to us by my husband’s grandma! :)

I did not know about this. In fact, I thought I had invented the concept of a place where you can register for mismatched but coordinating china! Glad someone else executed the idea!!!

@Gerbera: I love this kind of stuff. :) It reminds me of my childhood, especially the brightly colored pyrex baking dishes! So many of these items in my family have been broken or donated, though!

I’m glad I’m not the only one who hadn’t heard of this concept! Time to go browse (and drool) some more…;)

OMG, love this concept and website. Just did my registry but now I must convince my fiance to add one more registry! I live in Austin so I can setup an appt. to see these dishes in person.

My friend actually did a registry through Anthropologie. You can do one by making a wish list and share it with your guests. I know that both these stores have very similar style and pricing range.

Omg, I might have to scrap the dishes we registered for… Let’s see if I can get the Baconator on board since this is perfect! Thanks for the tip Tartlet!
