It was finally time for the moment I had been waiting for my entire life: to eat the food at our wedding.
That’s right…move over handsome groom and big white dress…get this bride some CHOW!
Again, I’m kicking myself over not asking for pictures of our food, but if you need a reminder, here was our menu:

Ladder 15 served the food family-style at the tables in three courses. Originally, I thought everything would go on the table at the same time, but they really paced each section of the meal, which was PERFECT. It gave everyone plenty of time to chat and enjoy themselves between the three courses.
Of course, one of the side effects to having a very long dinner was that the family members who caused the trouble at our wedding got progressively more and more drunk as the night went on.
View the evidence, not through pictures of them that I refuse to post online, but through the facial expressions of everyone else:
Lauren: I don’t know how much more I can take of this!
Cardy: For serious, I’m gonna go stomp my Texas boots all over their asses.
Momma Socks: I am shocked and appalled that no one is stopping this behavior. I might just go over there and count to three…
Mrs. Socks (on the outside): I will continue to smile pleasantly since that is my job today.
(on the inside): HOLY $!@#% MOTHER *!#&%R WTF!!
To recap: Food…Delicious. Wine…Incredible. Atmosphere…Divine. Pacing of the meal: Perfect.
Drunkards who acted grossly inappropriate during dinner, then later threw champagne at me, broke into hysterical tears and had to be escorted out…not so awesome.
Hey, what doesn’t murder you at your wedding despite trying really hard only makes you stronger…or something…right?
Bottom line: The food was awesome. Having a three-course seated dinner gave me and all of the (good) guests plenty of time to chat, relax, and enjoy the evening. Mr. Socks and I had SO much fun with Sister Socks, BIL Socks, and the Cardigans who sat at our table (the rest of my bridal party was seated at a separate table).

Did you/will you have a long dinner service? Are you afraid that an open bar might lead to sketchy behavior by family or friends?
Socks, that menu will have craving lamb, mushroom risotto, truffle fries and an ice cream sundae ALL DAY. *tummy grumbling*
Your photos clearly show what a strong, resilient lady you are and how awesome the rest of your fam and friends were thru that unfortunate situation. Nobody messes with the socks wedding!
Your food looks amazing and yay to Cardy for wanting to kick some ass for you!
The food and service style sound amazing. I’m so impressed that you can be calm (and maybe even a bit funny in your posts) about what happened - just shows what a class act you are.
Your food sounds amazing! It sucks that their behavior put a damper on dinner, but your class shows through in that picture.

The food sounds great. Maybe we can take these pictures and give them new, funny captions which have nothing to do with ridiculous people. You know, LOL cats style, but it’d be LOL Socks style.

Mrs. Socks, you are a class act. I am really amazed at how well you seem to have held up. I think I would have gone all Bridezilla on them…which would have been the wrong idea. So kudos to you, and your wedding recaps are lovely! Can’t wait to see more!!! 
You and Mr Socks’ grace and class will be remembered far longer than the disastrous actions of your family members!
Your menu has me drooling for truffle fries! Despite the abominable actions of people-who-shall-not-be-named, you were so poised and calm. Proud of you, Socks.

Uggggh why did you have to share the menu again? I still have DREAMS about that food, Socks! It was so freaking amazing. And now it’s all I can think about. Thanks. :-p

Yummy food!! The most important thing is that you ate at your wedding and enjoyed your food. Everything else is irrelevant (well not really, but sounds like you were able to handle it with class)
Scallops! Truffle fries!! Ice cream bar!!! OMG, you’ve successfully made me hungry right after eating lunch.

huuuuuuunger. need truffle fries….best food at a wedding. ever. hands down. and the family style serving really engaged everyone at the table. if you didnt know who was sitting next to you, you’d know their name after a few “would you please pass me the deliciousness, Mr So & So?” I thought this was fantastically executed. Speaking of executions….I didnt feel so mature when we were considering hunting down those party trashers. And Lauren’s face is priceless. It speaks volumes about how we all felt during certain parts of that night.
Oh snap, Socks, that must have been some seriously bad behavior. I’m still so sorry for you guys about that! On another note, Cardy’s “oh HELL no” face made me laugh.
The food sounds delicious, I love lamb. Those faces are priceless.
