Mrs. Magic's Picture
Mrs. Magic, Chapel Hill, NC Age and Occupation: 30, Licensed Clinical Social Worker Fiance's Age and Occupation: 30, Researcher Engagement Date: December 1, 2009 Wedding Date: October 2011 Venue: Barn at Valhalla About Me: I’m a tall drink of water (5’10”!) and a Southern bride with an enormous appetite for Mexican food, good deals, anything French, and all things wedding! By day I am lucky enough to work with individuals with autism and their families. By night, I’m even luckier to be able to spend time hanging out with awesome friends, crafting, shopping, thinking about exercising, and kicking it with Mr. Magic and our two cats. I tend to have sudden, intense cravings that will not be denied (seafood enchiladas! new jeans!) and I’m prone to being a disorganized mess of anxiety and stress. After waiting (and waiting!) to get engaged, I am finally planning the colorful, fun, fabulously awesome Fall wedding of our dreams. In an effort to share the fun and craziness that is wedding planning, I’m gonna blog about it for y’all---the good, the bad, and the pretty!
About Mrs. Magic

E-Pics!

March 13th, 2011 @ 6:00 pm by Mrs. Magic

I was recently out of town…on vacation…with Mini Magic…to Paris, France. Since I am a carnival bee, I thought I’d share some French carnival pics! Taking Mini Magic to Paris was amazing! It was her first time on a plane. She puked in the aisle on the flight over, and we got upgraded to first class! It was awesome. Maybe you could try that on the flight to your honeymoon destination…

Before I left, I was busy trying to figure out what to wear to look like my most Parisian self. It’s pretty easy actually…just wear black, stripes, a scarf, and/or some gladiator sandals (for real!) and you’re in! I don’t own gladiator sandals (I am 30, after all—I try to [at least sometimes] dress and act my age), but I could rock the rest quite well. It also helps if you looked pissed off and snooty. See?

E-Pics! : wedding chapel hill engagement pictures Katiea08 I’m pretty pleased with how they turned out, especially since it was over one hundred degrees when we took them (excellent planning, Miss Magic!)…although sometimes I look at my smile/laugh lines and wonder if those are normal or if I am getting wrinkly. I do love my newly straight teeth (adult braces: more fun than you could imagine [that’s sarcasm] but the teeth did turn out awesome!). Thoughts? Do you over-analyze your appearance?

Wow, rude much?

How would you like it if someone posted to the boards that they went on a trip to the USA, and to fit in, all they did was {insert incredibly rude and stereotypical American attitude description here}.

I am neither French, or American, but wow…

Great pix, Miss Magic! What fun! Love the carnival…so neat!

(And btw, was @guest your first incredibly random/brainless snark? If so, congrats because you have arrived as a bee! lol.) And FWIW, to fit in in the US I’m pretty sure all you have to do is pull on your super-low-rise 3-sizes-too-small jeggings and buy a supersized big mac.. France sounds much classier! :)

@Mrs. Mary Jane: I think it might have been! I really meant no offense…I love Paris but I was so self conscious of blending in, because those Parisian chicks are too cool for me!

Lovely pics! And shoes! :)
Also, Wifey Stripes is super terrified of planes, so maybe with a little, ahem, encouragement she could get us bumped up to first class! :)

Love the pics Miss Magic you guys look so much in love…

Btw I think that the guest comment was hilarious because I had to scroll back up and wonder if I had misunderstood the meaning behind what you said… hmm maybe I’m rude too? Well at least I’m in good company. :-)
