About Mrs. Cotton Candy

Damn You, Kate Spade!

March 17th, 2011 @ 2:31 pm by Mrs. Cotton Candy

The other night I was casually browsing Nordstrom for potential wedding-day accessories when I stumbled upon this vision of perfection:

Damn You, Kate Spade! : wedding accessories jewelry riverside Bracele

Source

Pearls and sparkle in one bold package: I was in love! Than I saw the price and almost cried. At over 200 bucks, it is about four times what I had budgeted for jewelry, and no amount of fudging the numbers will make spending that much money on a bracelet possible. I even went as far as checking Bag Borrow or Steal and Rent the Runway to see if it was available for rent but, alas, no luck.

I guess I’ll have to admire this beauty from afar, but if any of you know where I can find a pearl and sparkle bracelet like this, let me know, because a bride with a naked wrist is just sad…

Wow, that is a great bracelet, but for $200 you can find something cheaper that looks equally amazing.

The one I got (off eBay - JCrew Cobblestone bracelet) has pearls and sparkle.

Check out my bio; I have a pic of it there.

Try Etsy.com & do an alchemy. Or venture out & make it yourself! I’m sure you could find a base similar to that one & hook a bunch of pearls with studded ends on there. Good luck!

I’m sure that wouldn’t be too difficult to make yourself! Etsy is always a great place to search, too. If you see a seller with pearl jewelry and things you like but not something that’s close enough, convo them and see if they’d be interested in making a custom piece!

I feel your pain! The only shoes I’ve found that I really like are a pair of KS sandals for almost $300. At 6x my shoes budget all I can do is drool when I pass them at Nordstroms.

I would try Etsy. You could buy 4 sparkley pearl brooches and attach them or see if someone on Etsy sells something like this! :)

Sparkles! Pearls! One of my favorite combinations! It’s only a smidgen less than the KS bracelet, but I’ve had this one in my Etsy favorites list for ages:

That’s beautiful! I also have a love affair with pearls and sparkles. They are on my sash, shoes and cake toppper! I purchased some lovely jewelry from Virginia Geiger on Etsy (the pearly girl necklace and bracelet). The pieces I received are absolutely stunning and excellent quality. http://www.etsy.com/shop/VirginiaGeigerJewels She does custom pieces too! Good luck on your jewelry hunt!

I love kate spade. I own a ton of their stuff, and let me tell you, all of it I bought for 45% off or more. It always goes on sale. And you often can combine it with their “our sales on sale” codes or 15% off codes for signing up for their email list.
