I love colors—the brighter the better! Maybe that’s the reason I found it really, really difficult to decide on wedding colors. My favorite color has always been hot pink, which Mr. H wasn’t really on board with when we first got engaged. In my indecision I threw so many color combinations at him, he finally gave up and told me to pick whatever I wanted. Uhhhhh…

But time after time, I kept coming back to one color combo…

My first inspiration board (sources, from top left to bottom right: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 (color altered by moi), 12, 13, 14

There was no way I was going to not have hot pink; someway somehow I had to have it. In order to get him totally on board, I appealed to his Aggie side and offered up maroon as a complement. He agreed! Over time, “hot pink and maroon” has evolved to include bright green and silver accents as well, and I lurve it!

What inspired your wedding colors?

we started w/ navy, silver and white. oncve we found our venue, with red walls - it quickly became a ncsu wedding - red black and white.

The FI and I had our colors picked before we even got engaged! We both went to different colleges with Purple and Gold colors and loved the idea of incorporating that into our wedding. We added Ivory to balance out the palette, and couldn’t be happier!
Love your hot pink, and thanks for the Idee tool - I had so much fun playing with it!

The big pink peonies in your inspiration board are gorgeous. But then, I might be biased since I’ll also have them in my bouquet. ;)

Yummy color choices! We’ve chosen lavender and silver, and Mr. Crown suggested a third color, ivory, to keep it traditional.

I did hot pink and orange when I got married in July! it was an outdoor garden wedding and looked great! I even have about 80 of those hot pink votives if you need them! LOL
