The last photo of the glamorous hairstyle I posted yesterday came from photographer Elizabeth Messina’s blog, and I just came across a new post of hers today. Check out this behind-the-scenes video for that particular photo shoot; it is SO beautiful.

And just when I thought I was over the whole birdcage veil thing, I see this:

The flower is probably a bit too large and fashion forward for me but I think a smaller decorative piece on a headband/veil combo might be something that could work. Something more along the lines of this:
I also thought Pookiepie’s comment from my last post of putting my hair up for the ceremony and then letting it down for the reception was a GREAT idea—thanks for the suggestion! It would be great to get two looks out of one style.
In other news, I was JUST notified by my friend with the hairstyling skills that she is actually able to come to the wedding!! Her roommate, who is another friend of mine who loves makeup, is also coming and I’m beyond excited. I love those ladies. We’ll be doing a hair and makeup trial when I’m back in NY, which is a huge burden off my shoulders. Between the two of them, I’m in great hands.
